Travelling in Scotland

Scotland is quite a small country so the cost of travel isn’t too expensive. There is a strong road and rail network as well as airports in Edinburgh, Glasgow (Glasgow International and Glasgow Prestwick), Aberdeen, Inverness and several smaller airports elsewhere. The islands in the north-west of Scotland, known as the Hebrides are usually reached by ferries (ships) – this is also the case for the islands in the far north-east of the country, the Orkney’s.
